Jerry Whitley’s love of hot rods began long before he was old enough to have a driver’s license. As a boy, he was building and painting hot rod models. In his teenage years, he could be found hanging out in mechanic shops and attending nostalgic car events. When he was 14 years old, he bought his first hot rod project, a 1940 Ford pickup. At 16, he purchased a challenging 1955 Chevy restoration project. His passion for building and repairing cars naturally led to opening Whitley Paint and Body in 1977 in his hometown, Cabot, Arkansas. While providing excellent customer service and auto craftsmanship for the public, he also turned out a wide range of projects for the hot rod enthusiast.
Now, after 40 years in a successful body shop business, Jerry provides a full service hot rod shop. With his considerable experience and attention to detail and customer satisfaction, Jerry is in the business of turning his client’s rides into a reality. From simple repair and maintenance to complete restorations and builds, Jerry is happy to discuss and plan your project with you.
